Na Dan državnosti, u ranim jutarnjim satima, kod Spomen križa na gradskom groblju u Zlataru odana je počast svima koji su sudjelovali u stvaranju domovine Hrvatske. U ime Grada Zlatara cvijeće je položio časnički namjesnik Marijan Pajk, zapaljene su svijeće, a o važnosti obilježavanja Dana državnosti govorio je potpredsjednik Gradskoga vijeća Željko Slunjski, koji je građanima u ime Grada Zlatara čestitao blagdan. Molitvu za sve hrvatske žrtve predvodio je Vjekoslav Kadoić, predsjednik zlatarskog ogranka Udruge Hrvatski domobran. Odavanju počasti prisustvovali su predstavnici Grada Zlatara, vijećnici Gradskoga vijeća, HVIDRA-e Zlatar, Udruge Hrvatski domobran, Gradske organizacije SDP-a i GO HDZ-a Zlatara te drugi građani.
