U subotu, 30.09.2017. održan je tradicionalni pojedinačni teniski turnir u Zlataru, u organizaciji Športskog teniskog kluba Zlatar pod nazivom “Lenovo Zlatar Open”.
Turnir je vezan uz Dane kajkavske riječi, a ove godine privukao je 16 tenisača iz zagorskih klubova, ali i iz Varaždina i iz Čakovca. Uz zlatarščane, nastupili su tenisači iz TK Zagorec Krapina, TK Oroslavje, TK Zabok, TK Varaždin 1181 i TK Franjo Punčec.
U finalnom susretu, Marko Šiprak (TK Varaždin ) pobijedio je u odličnom meču Matiju Sokolića (ŠTK Zlatar ) u 3 seta – 7:5, 2:6, 6:2. Treće i četvrto mjesto podijeli su Filip Glumpak ( TK Oroslavje ) i Matija Balaž ( TK Franjo Punčec). Utješni dio turnira pripao je Ivanu Turku ( TK Zabok ).
Svi tenisači koji su sudjelovali na turniru, dobili su vrjedne nagrade sponzora Lenovo Hrvatska s kojim zlatarski teniski klub surađuje od samog osnutka kluba.
Sportske nagrade, najboljim tenisačima, uručila je gradonačelnica Jasenka Auguštan Pentek.
