Gljivarsko društvo Medenka Zlatar, u četvrtak, 15. listopada 2015. godine, posjetili su gljivari iz dalekog Japana s ciljem povezivanja i međunarodne suradnje gljivara. Dobrodošlicu im je zaželio gradonačelnik Grada Zlatara, gosp. Stanko Majdak, te predsjednik Gljivarskog društva Medenka Zlatar, gosp. Avelin Fijačko. Gospođa Katsuko Daikai je nazočnim članovima GD Medenke Zlatar i GD Maglen iz Oroslavja, demonstrirala pripremu jela na japanski način. U pripremi tradicionalnih japanskih jela sudjelovao je i njezin suprug, gosp. Hidenori, koji je ujedno i autor prve enciklopedije gljiva Japana.
