U petak 13. srpnja 2012. godine, na poziv domaćina Vilka Kukca, uputili samo se u Gornju Selnicu gdje je bila organizirana žetva raži na starinski način, u veselom društvu i bez poljoprivrednih strojeva. Usred prekrasnog krajolika, podno Ivanšćice, vrijedne ruke žnjalja Đurđe, Gabre, Barče i Snježane prisjetile su nas kako se to nekada radilo. Naizgled jednostavna radnja skriva potrebu za preciznošću, pedantnošću i iskustvom ne bi li se sav posao obavio kako treba.
Domaćin Vilko Kukec iznio je želju da ručna žetva ne padne u zaborav te mu je cilj žetvu organizirati i narednih godina uz još veći broj sudionica koje bi se natjecale za titulu najbolje i najljepše žnjalje.
Baš kao nekada, brijegom se širilo veselje te na daleko čuo razgovor i smijeh što je dovoljna pozivnica da dogodine žetvu posjetite i Vi.
